How Topsail.Fish Is Growing

The report below is a Google Search Console comparison of the most recent 28 days versus the previous 28-day period. Search Console is Google’s own reporting tool and provides one of the best ways to measure how the website is performing in search results.

As Topsail.Fish continues to grow, this report allows you to see how many anglers are discovering the website through Google Search, how often our pages appear in search results, and how that visibility changes from month to month. Every increase in impressions, clicks, and indexed content creates additional opportunities for anglers to discover our captain profiles, fishing reports, species guides, and other local fishing resources. The graph below represents only the organic search engine visitors to Topsail.Fish.

Understanding the Numbers

One metric that often raises questions is Average Position. You may notice that our average Google position has gradually moved from around 7 to approximately 11 over the past few months. While that may sound like a decline, it is actually a normal part of a growing website.

Every time we publish new fishing reports, species guides, seasonal articles, and local resources, Google begins testing those pages for hundreds or even thousands of new search phrases. New pages typically appear lower in the search results at first while Google learns how relevant they are to searchers. As those pages gain authority and attract visitors, many gradually move higher in the rankings.

The metrics that matter most are Impressions and Clicks. Those numbers tell us that more anglers are finding Topsail.Fish every month. As our library of content continues to expand, so do the opportunities for anglers to discover local captains, charter businesses, and fishing resources throughout the site.

Captain Marketing Tip of the Month

Captains who publish fishing reports consistently receive more exposure than captains who rarely post updates. Even a short report with a recent photo helps build trust with potential clients and keeps your listing active across Topsail.Fish.

Try to publish at least one fishing report each week. Reports that include recent photos, target species, water conditions, and successful techniques tend to create stronger engagement.
