Tournament & Event Submissions
Welcome to the Topsail.Fish community hub! We love helping anglers, visitors, and locals connect with the best fishing events happening across the Greater Topsail Island region.
To maintain a clean user experience and remain fair to our local charter captains and businesses who support our platform monthly, we separate event submissions into two clear categories:
1. Free Community Events (Non-Profit & Youth)
We are proud to offer 100% free calendar listings for events that are free to the public, youth-focused, or run by registered 501(c)(3) non-profit organizations or municipal town governments.
- Examples: Town-sponsored youth fishing events (such as the Soundside Park kids’ tournament), local beach cleanups, or non-profit marine conservation seminars.
- How to submit: Use our Contact page to send your event flyer, date, and time. Use the subject line “Free Community Event.”
2. Commercial & For-Profit Events (Paid Sponsorship)
If your event charges a registration/entry fee per boat or angler, is hosted by a commercial business, or is part of a regional tournament trail, it requires a paid advertising slot or promotional package to be featured on our platform.
- High-Visibility Tournament Banner ($100/month): Promote your tournament with a 1920x1080px event graphic displayed within select high-traffic Topsail.Fish content, including Weekly Fishing Report Summaries and relevant fishing guides. Banner placement runs for one month.
- Featured Event Spotlight ($250 flat rate): A dedicated sponsored event article on Topsail.Fish featuring your tournament details, schedule, rules, registration information, payouts, location, links and supplied event graphics. The article remains on Topsail.Fish after the event, providing a permanent online record of your tournament. Includes one promotional post on the Topsail.Fish Facebook page.
- Tournament Promotion Bundle ($300): Our most complete tournament promotion package combines the Featured Event Spotlight, one promotional post on the Topsail.Fish Facebook page, and high-visibility banner placement across select Topsail.Fish content through your event weekend.

Each month we publish a Topsail.Fish Monthly Report that shares how the website is growing, what anglers are searching for, how visitors are using the site, how they are connecting with local captains, and how participating businesses are gaining visibility. It’s our way of documenting the steady growth of the Greater Topsail Island fishing community.
