Beyond just fishing, Captain Mike also enjoys sharing the stunning local environment. “I also enjoy hosting guided scenic tours of the marshes, the inlet, and the many attractions around Topsail Island, especially for people who don’t want to fish,” he explains. “Throughout my many years as a fisherman, I have learned a great deal about the local birds, shells, and the intricate ecosystem, and I enjoy sharing these insights.”
Captain Mike Hoffman: Decades of Angling Expertise
A native of coastal southeastern North Carolina, Captain Mike Hoffman has been fishing since he was just 5 years old. In fact, he has dedicated himself to being a full-time fisherman since 1987. During his impressive career, he fished the Pro Bass Tour for 11 years, and in this time, he won numerous prestigious awards. Subsequently, he earned his captain’s license in 1998, followed by his Master Captain’s license in 2008, solidifying his professional credentials.
